Product Description
Back in 1999, we became the first company to add Jiu-Jitsu weave fabric to nylon board shorts. By adding the cotton fabric to the groin and thigh area of the shorts, it allows the Jiu-Jitsu fighter better traction on armlocks, kneebars and triangles over the standard nylon material. We produced these in limited numbers for our professional fighters, but never manufactured them for retail sale.
Now in 2010, we have brought back the design, re-working it from the ground up. The shorts are IBJJF/CBJJ competition compliant and are legal for use with most MMA organizations. They are comprised of a combination of black nylon and black gold weave fabric. The shorts have "M" logo and MMA embroidered on the right leg. Our new "MMA" logo is embroidered on the waistband. The closure is a combination of horizontal and vertical velcro with additional internal string tie.
Note: If you don't have particularly small hips, get one size larger than your normal waist size. If you have thick/wide hips get two sizes larger than your normal waist size.
